At Prescribe FIT, we’ve always believed that orthopedics is on the front line of a much bigger health challenge.
Patients don’t just show up with “bad knees” or “bad backs.” They arrive with elevated perioperative risk, higher BMI, more comorbidities, and growing expectations for continuous support between visits. Payers and regulators are shifting to models that reward long-term function, fewer complications, and proactive risk management instead of episodic care alone. In that world, lifestyle factors—weight, mobility, nutrition, sleep, daily activity—aren’t a side note. They’re central to pain relief, readiness for surgery, recovery, and implant longevity.
That’s why we’re excited about our new partnership and integration with Phoenix Ortho, an orthopedic-specific EHR and practice management platform used by private orthopedic practices across the country.
This isn’t just a technical integration. It’s a signal of where orthopedic care is headed—and what it will take to win in that new era.
What is Phoenix Ortho, and why does this integration matter?
Phoenix Ortho focuses exclusively on orthopedics. Phoenix Go—its desktop and mobile experience—streamlines the everyday work of private orthopedic practices: documentation, imaging, and clinical decision-making.
By integrating Prescribe FIT directly into Phoenix Go, we’re embedding lifestyle health and remote patient monitoring (RPM) into the workflows orthopedic teams are already using every day. The collaboration allows Phoenix Ortho practices to address nutrition, physical activity, weight, and daily habits as part of standard orthopedic care, while generating new recurring RPM revenue with minimal additional work for physicians and staff.

How the integration actually works
This integration takes the Prescribe FIT protocol and puts it one tap away for Phoenix Go clients. We designed the integration with a simple principle in mind: meet clinicians where they are.
From within Phoenix Go, clinicians gain access to a new Prescribe FIT feature that surfaces eligible patients based on criteria such as BMI and musculoskeletal (MSK) diagnosis. Providers can review this list, decide who should be enrolled, enter clinical notes, and sign prescriptions for multiple patients in a single workflow.
Once a prescription is placed, Prescribe FIT’s clinical and patient experience teams assume responsibility for:
- Outreach and education
- Enrollment and onboarding
- Ongoing one-on-one lifestyle coaching
- Remote patient monitoring and data capture
Patients receive regular, personalized support focused on pain reduction, mobility improvement, weight loss, and healthy habits, while patient-generated data flows back for review under RPM guidelines. Physicians and advanced practitioners remain in control of the plan of care but are no longer solely responsible for executing the day-to-day behavior change work.
On the back end, Phoenix Ortho and Prescribe FIT are designing the integration to eventually simplify billing operations as well. Practices will continue to use their existing templates and billing processes while leveraging Phoenix Go’s automated document engine to handle the repetitive steps required to generate monthly billing for RPM from Prescribe FIT reports. These programs function as an ancillary service that creates a recurring monthly revenue stream, reimbursable through insurance under a defined set of RPM CPT codes.

Why this matters—for Phoenix Ortho clients and beyond
For Phoenix Ortho clients, the value is immediate:
- Clinical: a turnkey way to address lifestyle and weight as part of MSK care, without building a program from scratch.
- Operational: minimal disruption to existing workflows; most activity lives in Phoenix Go and with Prescribe FIT’s full-service team.
- Financial: a new non-surgical revenue stream built on RPM, with audit-ready, AMA-aligned documentation.
But even if you’re not a Phoenix Ortho client, this integration is meaningful. It represents a blueprint for what “good” looks like when it comes to embedding lifestyle health and RPM into EHR workflows:
- The program is orthopedic-specific, not a generic chronic care tool.
- It is service-heavy on our side (outreach, coaching, engagement), not on yours.
- It is billing-aware from day one, aligned with real-world revenue models and documentation requirements for busy private practices.
This is the model we believe orthopedic practices will expect from their technology partners going forward.
A new era of competition in orthopedic care
Both Phoenix Ortho and Prescribe FIT see this integration as part of a broader shift in how orthopedic care is delivered—and how private practices compete.
As reimbursements decline and remote monitoring, patient-reported outcomes, and value-based expectations become standard, practices will increasingly be differentiated by their ability to manage risk longitudinally, support lifestyle change, and create predictable non-surgical revenue streams. The Phoenix Ortho + Prescribe FIT partnership is designed to position those practices on the leading edge of that transition.
We’ve already seen what happens when orthopedic groups embrace this model:
- Patients lose meaningful weight, reduce pain, and improve mobility
- Surgeons are recognized for both the outcomes they deliver and the value they create by helping patients get back to a better life
- Administrators build their practice without having to rebuild how they practice
Our goal is to make that path accessible, scalable, and sustainable—starting with Phoenix Ortho clients, and ultimately with any orthopedic practice that wants to extend care beyond the OR and exam room.

If you’re not a Phoenix Ortho client (yet)…
This integration is still good news for you.
It shows what’s possible when lifestyle health, RPM, and orthopedics are truly aligned—and it sets a standard we intend to bring to other EHR environments as well.
