Building up to 150 minutes a week of exercise is important for your overall health and wellness. Start off with breaking up the minutes throughout the day 5 out of 7 days per week will help as you build your endurance.
- Getting at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day is very important along with muscle strengthening twice a week (walking briskly, biking, kayaking, and yoga are examples)
- Run, jog, play basketball or tennis 1 hour and 15 minutes a week and two days of strengthening major muscle groups twice a week
- Exercise moderately and vigorously (mix of both) 2 or more days per week and two days of strengthening exercises
TIP: Start off with breaking up the exercise minutes throughout the day. Exercising 5 out of 7 days per week will help as you build your endurance and strive for burning more calories.
