Falling Off

If you have fallen off the healthy lifestyle wagon, do not despair or feel guilty.  This happens to everyone.  Regain your focus, learn from the experience, and start a new day.

  • Figure out what caused the relapse and learn your triggers
  • Reinforce new behaviors with small rewards
  • Find ways to renew your motivation
  • Do not deprive yourself completely of anything because that will cause you to want that dessert, bag of chips, etc. even more

TIP: When you go on family vacations, business trips, or around the holidays, come up with a plan to help you with some of the risks involved and try to find alternative healthy ways to deal with each risk.
