Tips for Good Sleep

It is important to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep every night.  Sometimes this can be hard — so try to find ways to help you get better sleep.

  • Avoid fatty foods and sugary beverages before sleep
  • Avoid caffeine 6 -8 hours before your bedtime
  • Eating more brown rice, salmon, nuts, and kiwi can help promote better sleep
  • A bowl of healthy cereal may help promote good sleep
  • Limit alcohol intake
  • Avoid watching television, looking at your iPhone, or other electronics before bedtime
